Custom Metal Bending Services

Accurate Press Brake Forming for Sheet Metal and Plate

Our metal bending service transforms flat metal sheets into precise three-dimensional components. Using CNC press brakes and advanced tooling, we produce brackets, enclosures, frames, channels, and structural parts with consistent angles and repeatable quality.

Service Overview

What Is CNC Press Brake Bending?

Press brake bending uses a punch and die to bend sheet metal or plate along a straight axis. CNC control programs the bend angle, back-gauge position, and ram force, enabling accurate, repeatable forming. Common bend types include V-bends, U-bends, channels, boxes, hems, and offset bends.
Proper bending requires attention to bend radius, material thickness, grain direction, and springback. Our engineering team calculates bend allowances to ensure final dimensions match your drawing.

Tolerances & Standards

Bending Tolerances

Angles, flange lengths, and hole positions are held to standard tolerance on every run — measured on the first piece and sampled throughout production.

Quality Control

Quality Control for Bending

Four checkpoints run from tooling setup to final fit check — every angle is measured, not assumed.
Step 01

Tooling Inspection & Setup Verification

Punch and die are inspected and the setup is verified before any part is bent — tooling matched to material and radius.
Step 01
Step 02

First-Piece Angle & Dimension Check

The first part is bent, measured, and compared against the drawing before the production run is released.
Step 02
Step 03

Periodic In-Process Sampling

Angles and flange lengths are sampled during the run, keeping long production batches consistent from first part to last.
Step 03
Step 04

Final Assembly Fit Check

Multi-bend parts are fit-checked as assemblies before shipment — so welded frames and enclosures go together without rework.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you handle springback?
Springback is calculated during CNC programming and compensated by over-bending; test bends verify the final angle before production.
What is the minimum bend radius?
As a rule of thumb, inside bend radius should be at least 1× material thickness for mild steel, and larger for aluminum and stainless steel.
Can you bend both thin sheet and heavy plate?
Yes — our press brakes cover light-gauge sheet through heavy plate; tonnage and tooling are matched to your part during quotation.
